Jeff LaMarche is a photographer, published author, and software engineer working in the San Francisco Bay Area. His work crosses many genres, but his primary focus is the nude figure.
Jeff grew up in a family that owned a photography studio and was involved in the family business from a young age. Photography continued to be a large part of his life through college and grad school and for several years after. By the late nineties, he had four young children and a new job three thousand miles from where he grew up. He stopped shooting for the next several years due to lack of time and disposable income.
In 2017, after a considerable hiatus, he decided to get back into photography as a pastime and creative outlet. Since then, he’s been shooting regularly. When Jeff first started posting images to the internet, he did so under a pseudonym: Body Cult Photography. Within a few weeks, he changed his mind and decided that he wanted to post his work under his real name, but the original name stuck around in a few places. He eventually decided to bring the name back when he started re-designing his website.
